Virgin Media has opened in Blackpool for the first time with a new store in Houndshill Shopping Centre.
The nationwide communications retailer signed for a new five-year lease at Unit 14 in the centre. It is paying an annual rental of £37,500 with six months’ rent free and a tenant-only break at year two.
The store was opened in May by the centre’s mascot, Harry the Hound, and is trading well.
Leigh Burnett, director of asset management at Waypoint New Frontier, said: “Virgin Media is one of the top British brand names and will be a very positive addition to Houndshill’s technology offer.”
